In a bid to enhance its industrial and technological ties across the Eurasian region, Indonesia is gearing up to be the Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026. The industrial exhibition, set for July 6–9, 2026, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, will see Indonesian companies and government officials showcasing the country’s industrial advancements and exploring cooperation opportunities. Central to this effort is Indonesia’s New National Industrialization Strategy (SBIN), which aims to bolster the nation’s manufacturing sector in line with global trends such as digitalization, energy transitions, and evolving supply chains. This strategy is also aligned with the broader Golden Indonesia 2045 development goals.
Indonesia’s Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, emphasizes that the SBIN framework is designed to cultivate international partnerships through investments, technology exchanges, and the development of industrial capabilities. The strategy targets four key areas: enhancing value-added production from natural resources, advancing industrial technology following the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap, promoting environmentally sustainable industrial practices, and strengthening the industrial workforce.
At INNOPROM 2026, Indonesia plans to present over 50 industrial firms to engage with potential partners from the Eurasian region. A significant emphasis will be placed on collaborations in industrial technology. Firms in sectors like machinery, automation, petrochemicals, and advanced materials will have the opportunity to form partnerships with Indonesian manufacturers eager to modernize their operations. The showcase will include industrial zones dedicated to a variety of sectors, such as metals, transportation equipment, electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and textiles. Additionally, investment in industrial parks and engagement in downstream processing and supply-chain development are being highlighted as areas ripe for collaboration.
Technology and investment alliances concerning strategic minerals such as nickel, bauxite, copper, cobalt, and lithium are also on Indonesia’s agenda. These partnerships are anticipated to spur demand for processing technologies and manufacturing equipment needed for the country’s downstream industrial development. Furthermore, the agricultural and food-processing sectors will be a focal point, with the AGRO pavilion offering insights into opportunities involving food-processing technologies, logistics, distribution, and regional market access.
Indonesia brings to the table one of Southeast Asia’s most robust manufacturing bases. The Ministry of Industry reports that the country’s manufacturing value added reached roughly $265 billion, securing its position as the 13th largest globally. As of August 2025, non-oil and gas manufacturing exports were valued at $147.9 billion, accounting for nearly 80% of Indonesia’s total exports. Tri Supondy, Director General of Industrial Resilience, Regional Development, and International Industrial Access, notes that Indonesia’s participation in INNOPROM aims to solidify its status as a dependable long-term industrial partner for Eurasian economies. The event is poised to facilitate discussions on investment projects, technology transfers, and supply-chain partnerships across various manufacturing sectors.
