During discussions with regional leaders, the focus was on enhancing collaboration in sectors such as trade, agriculture, infrastructure, energy, and investment. Cambodian officials pointed to the strengthening relationships with Vietnamese provinces, facilitated through cooperation agreements, business exchanges, and joint development initiatives.
The province of Kratie expressed satisfaction with the advancements in diplomatic and socio-economic partnerships with Vietnam. This includes Vietnam’s assistance in infrastructure development and collaborative endeavors in locating and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese soldiers who lost their lives during the wartime period in Cambodia.
Ambassador Nguyễn Minh Vũ acknowledged the positive impact of Vietnamese enterprises engaged in sectors like agriculture, mining, and rubber production within Cambodia. He noted that these ventures have been instrumental in supporting local economic development and fortifying bilateral relations. In Stung Treng, regional authorities highlighted the province’s potential in high-tech agriculture and eco-tourism, urging more Vietnamese businesses to seek opportunities there.
The ambassador also engaged with members of the Vietnamese-origin community to address legal and livelihood concerns. He emphasized the importance of adhering to local laws and encouraged support for educational and sustainable development initiatives.
