SAGA Launches New Oceanfront Dining, Boosting Bali’s Culinary Economy at Viking Studios

Date:

Viking Sunset Studios in Tabanan, Bali, has welcomed a new addition to its oceanfront offerings with the opening of SAGA Restaurant & Bar on Beraban Beach. This new establishment presents a unique blend of Italian and Indonesian culinary traditions, featuring a fusion menu that highlights wood-fired dishes with Balinese sambal matah, handmade pasta dressed in slow-braised rendang ragù, and fresh seafood infused with Mediterranean herbs and citrus. Guests can enjoy these flavors in an open-air setting that offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.

Enhancing the dining experience, SAGA also boasts a cocktail bar that serves artisanal spirits, tropical botanicals, and house-made infusions, making it an ideal spot for lunch, sunset drinks, or evening gatherings. A significant attraction of the venue is its expansive beachfront infinity pool with underwater bar seating, providing a perfect vantage point to enjoy the serene coastal landscape while sipping on refreshing beverages.

SAGA is located on Beraban Beach, known for its striking black volcanic sand and scenic coastal cliffs. This area offers a peaceful alternative to Bali’s busier beach-club scenes, allowing visitors to indulge in a more tranquil oceanfront dining experience. The restaurant’s proximity to Viking Sunset Studios also highlights its role in supporting the film production industry, offering dining and catering services for the diverse array of media projects hosted at the complex, which is equipped with Indonesia’s largest sound stage.

Vivian Ikdayah, the manager of SAGA Restaurant & Bar, emphasizes that the venue was designed to harmonize the natural beauty of Beraban Beach with exquisite food and cocktails, creating a comprehensive destination for locals and tourists alike. Located just a short drive from Canggu, SAGA provides a refreshing escape with its blend of culinary creativity and coastal relaxation.

The Viking Sunset Studios complex not only serves as a film production hub but also promises an immersive resort environment. SAGA Restaurant & Bar is now open to the public, inviting guests to make reservations for lunch, sunset drinks, and dinner.
